The Dinersty:

Family is at the heart of everything we do. Our blended family is affectionately dubbed the “Wolf Pack” by our son. He also coined the term “dinersty” which is a play on diner+dynasty. This is often how he refers to our venture into the restaurant industry.

The restaurant is a labour of love for our little family of 5 with so many extended members pitching in to lend a hand in getting us up and running. For this and so many things, we are eternally grateful.

Our values

Here at Easy Street Diner, we are committed to a set of core values:

Inclusivity: We want you to feel welcome no matter who you are or what your diet may be. We offer a daily Vegan special and often have vegan desserts on the menu. We can do any menu item Gluten Free. We also have options for vegetarians, dairy free and vegan. Make sure you let us know of any allergies or diet concerns at the time of ordering so we can make sure you have a wonderful dining experience.

Family: We are a family run business. We treat our staff as family also; with a comprehensive benefit plan, staff discounts, flexible scheduling, 2 days off per week, and tip-sharing arrangements. They are the reason we can keep this dream going so we value them and show it often. Please show them yourselves and when you visit they will make you part of the family as well. We love to see families come to dine with us and have a great kids menu and most items available to order individually in our “Add Ons” section.

Tolerance: We will not under any circumstance allow hatefulness, harassment or discrimination of any kind. Anyone who displays any intolerant behaviours may be asked to leave our inclusive space. This includes, but is not limited to the following: homophobia, sexism, racism, ableism, agism, intimidation or any other forms of intolerant behaviour. Please be kind to one another, this is a respectful space.

Quality: We are committed to offering quality ingredients and menu items. To ensure we know what goes in everything and to make sure it tastes great, we make most items in-house. We ferment all our own Kimchi so that it is vegan. We also brine and smoke all of our own bacon and pastrami so that it is not full of water, fillers or excess salt. We make our onion rings so that we can keep our deep fryer gluten free. It’s the little things for us. The only way to control for allergens, ingredients, and flavour is to make it ourselves, so that’s what we do. Where possible (and these days when available) we strive to use only compostable/recyclable take out containers, bags and cutlery.
